We sold our living room chairs to afford tix to an event we were convinced would turn our luck around.....a high-profile fund raiser in a town known as "the playground of the rich and famous". Our patience was wearing thin and we decided that we would hang in there for another month before giving up the dream.....and selling the furniture for some cash so we could go to this event actually seemed reasonable at the time (seems so desperate now).
And surprise, surprise.....hubby met an "angel investor" who seemed like a gift sent from the heavens - the answer to all our prayers (please refer to previous post describing the angel/vulture capitalists that devour the desperate at the exactly the right moment). This "gift" turned out to be the biggest thorn in our side (in my opinion) and it is very worth repeating (again and again) that old saying "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is".
