We went to a party at Goat on a Boat in Sag Harbor - if you've never been there, you are missing one of the best hot spots in the Hamptons. By far the cutest childrens parties and puppet shows!!
In addition to Birthday parties they host playgroups and performances every Saturday - check it out, so totally great!!!;)
Today Sag Harbor hosted it's annual Halloween Rag-a-Muffin Parade - hundreds of costumed participants marched down Main Street and partied at the Custom House.
Even the adults took the parade seriously and dressed in some super-fine outfits!
Perfect weather contributed to one of the best parades - definitely more crowded than I ever remember.....
Too cool!!
The race started off in Greenport and went around Block Island -
The winds averaged 22 knots! The race started at 4pm Friday and our crew finished at 2:04am.

The Harborfest Parade marched down Main Street in Sag Habor this weekend and some of our favorite peeps were participating....The Sag Harbor Tree Fund is working hard to make our village a better place ~

Happy Labor Day - another great summer!!
Mia Grosjean of Sag Harbor presented a slide show of her recent journey to Moscow to celebrate "the 75th anniversary of Spaso House as the residence of the U.S. Ambassador" today at the Bay Street Theater. Mia's grandfather was Ambassador Joseph Edward Davies. Her mother, Emlen Knight Davies,had collected photos from the 1930's and in doing so preserved a piece of the human history of Spaso House. Mia has digitally restored and artistically printed the photos from small images in her mother's scrap books. It was so interesting to see the original photos of the Spaso House and compare them to current ones. The streets, the buildings and the gardens were beautiful. Clearly Mia is passionate about sharing this history with the public and I just loved listening to her speak and watch her mother (who was sitting proudly in the front row) appreciate the hard work and loving energy Mia has dumped into this project. Mia stated that "although the photos were worn, faded and no more than two by three inches in dimension, I wanted to print them so big that I could walk inside them and hear what people were saying. I wanted to eavesdrop on my Grandfather's and Mother's life." Great, right?!
I have a new crush - Gene Casey is a hotty! Great performance at Breakwater Yacht Club in Sag Harbor last weekend- smoldering, sexy and totally fun!!:)
Thank you Jordan Haerter, for sacrificing your life in an effort to better ours. Our tiny village of Sag Harbor mourns your loss and recognizes your amazing, heroic spirit!
I never met Jordan or his parents, but I have shed tears for them as I walked down Main Street in Sag Harbor this morning and pointed out the American Flags that line the street in his honor, to my 9 year old son. His parents' heartbreak over losing their only child is shared by all of us and we hold him and his parents close in our thoughts and prayers. Truly sad!
