Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, Vanity Fair and Annie Leibovitz!
I just don't get it... Why are so many so hyper about the Vanity Fair pictures of Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana?? So not a big deal in my book!
I hate that young stars are acting out, partying way too much in public and being poor role models for our youth. Many disregard the responsibility that comes with being in the public eye and act like spoiled brats.
But there is another dynamic present and I think that's what is going on here. The public/media love to idolize our stars, put them up on a pedestal for all to worship, and before you can blink your eyes knock them off that same pedestal. How many times do we have to watch the thrill of the rising star and the agony of their failures! Look at the photos - both parents are always hovering in the backround of this photo shoot. How can anyone say Miley Cyrus is being victimized here - crazy!!!!
Annie Leibovitz is a genius! Her photographs are pieces of art. She transforms a picture into a beautiful story. I loved these pictures of Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus. Annie captured an amazing moment in any teenagers life when they are making the transition from little girl to young adult. Miley Cyrus is growing up before our eyes - and lucky for her both her mom and dad always have her back. Rather than knock this family off their pedestal perhaps we should be commending them for making a "tight circle" around her as she makes this transition!
